Soul Food historian Adrian Miller is throwing a special inauguration party following a historic election, featuring specially designed food delivered to your home; performance by singer Such; conversation with history makers Senior Master Sgt. Wanda Joell (first African American woman to serve on Air Force One) and Chef Charlie Redden (first Certified Executive Chef in the history of The White House Mess) and with Jesse J. Holland, author of Black Men Who Built the Capitol.
Also, a brief performance by Parijat Desai with Haitian-American Odissi dancer Taiis Pascal, called Can’t Take the Country Out Me, offered in celebration of our new Vice President Kamala Devi Harris.
